If you are responsible for the management and/or operation of onshore and offshore installations or processes, our Gas Testing training course will help you understand the consequences of loss of containment, calibration, maintenance and prepare you to alleviate the risks. You will experience first-hand experimental demonstrations of fire, explosion, and dispersion hazards. Through a series of lectures combined with video footage and examples of model calculations, we will demonstrate the consequences and mitigation techniques following a loss of containment.
Upon successful completion of this course, the delegates will be able to:
- Have knowledge of the properties and dangers of flammable gases.
- Have knowledge of the properties of toxic gases.
- Know the dangers associated with oxygen-enriched deficient atmospheres.
- Have a basic knowledge of various types of detection equipment and their use.
- Be able to demonstrate the basic principles of gas testing.
- Be able to interpret gas readings / resulting actions.
- Gain an appreciation of loss containment
- Understand the consequences of loss
- Identify mitigation techniques
- Experience full-scale demonstrations
- Increase your knowledge to help devices calibration and maintenance at work.
- Have knowledge of the properties of toxic gases.
