The course covers major components of a laboratory technique and refinery process system. It presents an understanding of interpreting methods of the laboratory results regarding the chemical reaction in the all refining process so that a clear picture of the refinery condition assessment is formed. The course discusses also the measurement method uncertainty which can help to evaluate the analysis results and to understand the lab results deviation limit.
After completion of the course the participants will be able to:
Introduction to oil field and overall refinery flow
Refinery products and feedstocks specification
Refinery process and chemical reaction:
Laboratory methods of oil water samples:
New methods of oil analysis
Interpret the laboratory analysis results
Analysis report and measurement uncertainty
Chemists, technicians and managerial staff who work in refinery laboratory, and engineers working in the refinery operation, process, maintenance, and planning section.
